Job Title: Sr Network Engineer

Location: Bethesda, MD (Onsite 1-2 days a week, remote 3-4 days a week)

Term: Perm/Full-Time

Salary: Negotiable – depends on experience

Shift: Mon – Fri, 8-hour shift between 6AM & 6PM

Important Note: DoD Top Secret Clearance is required.

Position Summary:Your work will involve work managing projects from inception to completion working with Cisco routers/switches, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls, and COMSEC equipment. You will also troubleshoot problems, conduct research, and propose new technology solutions. Within 6 months of hire, get a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - the exam cost can be reimbursed using the Company’s Reimbursement Program.

Requirements:
  • DOD Top Secret Security Clearance - If you had a clearance in the past 24 months, we may be able to reactivate it.
  • S. degree in a technical discipline OR a current CISSP, CASP, ENSA, or CNSS / NSTISSI 4115 / 4016 certification.
  • 7 years of networking experience, 3 of which include experience with Cisco in an Ethernet environment.
  • Experience working with Cisco routers, switches, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls, and COMSEC equipment.
  • Capability to diagnose Tier 3 network problems working with Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing/switching devices.
  • Familiarity with network management tools and experience applying network security best practices.
  • Ability to oversee a project from inception to completion and troubleshoot problems, conduct research, and propose new technology solutions.
  • Experience with Cisco Power IDS and familiarity with Splunk.
