Job Description
- Repair and create tooling for production machinery using lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders and other metal working tools. Also create and shape tooling using torches, grinders, sanders, and arc welders.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, inspect, troubleshoot, washing and storing of tooling.
Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-5 years experience in metal working operating lathes, mills, surface grinders, saws.
- Experience using mechanical tooling including; use of calipers and micrometers.
- Proficient mechanical aptitude
- Strong math skills
- Must possess manual dexterity
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong initiative
- Good problem solving skills
- Capability of lifting upwards of 75 pounds on occasion
- Good focus and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task on a daily basis
- Must work in a safe manner
- Willingness to cross-train and learn machining practices through training
