GEICO is looking for a highly-motivated, Moogsoft/AIOps Engineer with an application engineering background to help administer and operate our Cloud Monitoring platforms. The candidate should have a strong technical aptitude and be comfortable providing excellent customer service. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of monitoring technologies such as Microsoft Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Splunk, ThousandEyes, etc. The ideal candidate will also have in-depth experience managing Moogsoft AIOps platform. The position also requires scripting to automate deployments with Monitoring and Event management solutions, ensuring 24/7 visibility of GEICO's application and service portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Enhance Moogsoft adoption, implement automated onboarding strategies, improve self-service capabilities, etc. all with a metric based focus to show the value add
  • Work with customers and other stakeholders to drive results to implement correlation, visualizations, reports and dashboards
  • Utilize scripting abilities to improve current processes focusing on automation; Expert level scripting (reporting, API integration with other monitoring tools, automation, etc.)
  • Create and maintain documentation specific to Moogsoft platform adoption, self-service capabilities, etc. and keep abreast of overall IT initiatives as they affect Moogsoft and Cloud Monitoring
  • Keep up to date on latest technology trends and developments to drive cloud monitoring strategy

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of integration experience with Moogsoft AIOps Platform.
  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge of Linux, and Microsoft Azure VM
  • 5 years of experience with monitoring tools (APM, infrastructure monitoring, network management systems)
  • 5+ years of experience with script development for automation of systems and network administration
  • Experience with design and implementation of high-availability/fault tolerant instances of orchestration tools
  • Expert-level knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript etc.) and Python.
  • Strong Integration experience focused on REST, SOAP, JSON, CLI and SQL
  • Strong ITSM/ITOM domain knowledge
  • Experience with SAML and Helix (Remedy) integrations
  • Experience with cloud-based storage and database concepts.
  • Experience identifying, implementing and documenting automation and orchestration standards, procedures, and policies
  • Demonstrated ability to apply expert level technical writing and presentation skills to support creation and publication of project artifacts and documentation
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Azure, IaaS, PaaS, AKS and SaaS Cloud Service model.

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong domain and business knowledge.
  • Possess good work ethic and high-level of integrity.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation and/or MOF V4.0 certification
