As a

SharePoint Architect and Designer, you will be using cutting edge SharePoint technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, SharePoint Design, and workflows to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Facilitate best practices and solutions from SharePoint "out of the box" functionality
  • Effectively serve as the onsite technical and functional liaison for SharePoint portal solutions
  • Partner with various project managers, technical leaders and clients to define projects
  • Help facilitate SharePoint adoption by end users and become a subject matter expert for SharePoint usability and improvements to the current application
  • Contribute in improving our processes and policies within the SharePoint program
  • Use PowerShell scripting to provide support with administration, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Utilize consulting and documentation skills to successfully complete project-based work.
  • Provide Office 365 administration and support as needed.
  • Assist with documentation to ensure they can be continued in future initiatives.
  • Work on project teams during discovery to explore problem definition, build strategies and help plan for comprehensive, user-centered solutions
  • Lead and participate in facilitating meetings, workshops, focus groups and interviews with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and users
  • Prepare and execute content migrations into SharePoint

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel once COVID restrictions are lifted. Travel bi-weekly to Chevy Chase, MD and/or Ashburn, VA required.

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Profile of Success

  • Three years of experience in web technology to design and implement web-based portal solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize business requirements into system functionality within the SharePoint framework
  • Comprehensive experience with SharePoint configuration through the web UI Experience in the implementation of SharePoint collaboration tools(forums/issue lists, document/form libraries, etc.) and the ability to seamlessly integrate with other Microsoft tools
  • SharePoint specific required skills (through the web UI): customizing web parts and web part pages; creating sites, document libraries, lists and views; search and taxonomies; term store administration; managed metadata and reporting functions In-depth knowledge of SharePoint framework
  • Experience with SharePoint branding to include creating and editing graphics, master pages, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript (in particular Handlebars.js), KQL, SharePoint Design, and SharePoint Workflows

Desirable Skills

Experience with Photoshop (or equivalent) and knowledge of various graphical formats
  • Design and development of InfoPath forms, including code scripting or managed code development for application solutions
  • Proven experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with ShareGate and Treesize applications
