Working out of our Chevy Chase, MD/Washington DC office, our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst group is expanding the financial modeling team. As a Corporate FP&A Analyst you will will help lead the development, maintenance, and interpretation of our models to improve our forecasting processes and help determine the impacts of KPIs on financial outcomes. As a Modeling Analyst, you will be challenged to lead projects to develop new analytical and data products, while having the opportunity to develop thoughtful and innovative solutions to address our business needs.

Successful candidates will display strong modeling and analytical skills.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability in mathematical, statistical, financial, or economic analyses on large, complex datasets
  • Demonstrated ability in multivariate classification and regression techniques; experience with Xgboost, Prophet, decision trees, and/or machine learning
  • Expert finance and business background, with direct experience with planning platforms desirable (Adaptive, TM1, Anaplan, etc.)
  • Excellent quality, communication, and creative thinking abilities
  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization, project, and time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge, utilization of, and ability to learn software tools and languages such as SAS, SQL, Excel, Aginity, R, and Python
  • 4+ years modeling experience
  • Master's degree or equivalent preferred. CPCU pursuit strongly encouraged

Additional expectation of senior analysts:
  • Train, and mentor junior analysts while working in a collaborative environment

Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a designated work area. Once GEICO determines it is safe for associates to return to the office, candidates may be required to work in our Chevy Chase, MD office.
