Role: Software Engineer (Java) Location: Chevy Chase, MD/Remote Duration: 3 Months contract to hire Required Skills: 2-5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2-3+ years of experience with architecture and design 2-3+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or another cloud service 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks Strong verbal and written communication skills Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C, or C# including object-oriented design. Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems. Experience with Spring Boot and other Spring projects such as Spring Data, Spring Integration Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, etc. Experience with TDD/ATDD/ BDD Experience with containers and container orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes etc. Experience with event driven architectures and building event driven microservices with pub-sub/streaming technologies such as Kafka Experience working in Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe). In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
