Summary: Seeking Metadata Solutions Engineers to join our Metadata Solutions team. Our team is responsible for the management, support and development of company metadata management platform, Collibra. Our team's mission is to build a program where metadata collection is embedded in all aspects of the data lifecycle, in the least intrusive way possible. As an engineer, you will be expected to provide operational support for our metadata management tool. This includes designing and implementing functionality within the tool, ensuring platform availability, and working collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to ensure the tool is configured to meet business needs.

Responsibilities: • Work closely with the Metadata Solutions Development team to write requirements for development work in support of platform enhancements. • Design and implement metadata solutions that enhance collection capabilities. • Work closely with our Data Engineering team to ensure the capture and catalog data flow through the ingestion pipeline. • Partner and work closely with the Enterprise Data Governance team to ensure that the platform support the needs of our governance initiatives. • Strong oral and written communications skills, including an ability to successfully communicate technical and non-technical concepts.

Requirements: • 1-2 + years of hands on configuration and maintenance experience with Metadata management tools (Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica, etc.) • Strong understanding of metadata management best practices and framework. • Experience with configuration and maintenance of enterprise metadata templates including data dictionary, business glossary, metrics/KPI glossary, etc. • Experience using Agile methodologies for work management. • Demonstrable capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly. • Ability to establish and maintain open and collaborative relationships with other team members and stakeholders. • Ability to stay current with evolving best practices in data management.
