GEICO is seeking an experienced leader to manage its Threat Defense Center (comprised of SOC, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Cyber Analytics) as a Threat Defense Division Manager. The ideal candidate understands the importance of people and process in successful incident management and is able to communicate a cohesive vision of how the Threat Defense Center interacts within itself and with other stakeholders. This position is a critical member of the crisis management team and must have a "run into the fire" but calm and measured mentality.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate as part of a cohesive cross functional management team
  • Coach, develop, and manage the associates and supervisors of the teams
  • Develop and align strategy to support the organizational vision & strategy
  • Review and evaluate the accuracy and probable effectiveness of plans
  • Manage team tracking to the plans, complex budget, and deliverables
  • Use cost models for delivering IT services to the business
  • Propose and initiate appropriate plan revisions based on the monitoring and forecasting of business KPIs
  • Establish goals and evaluate performance of the associates on the teams

Required Qualifications:
  • Approximately 3 years of leadership experience leading, coaching, and developing teams and associates
  • Strong understanding of application, network, & cloud security services
  • Ability to prioritize and drive results based on business value to the organization
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to both Senior Leadership and Highly Technical personnel
  • Experience with strategic planning, establishing and communicating roadmaps, budgeting, and allocation of resources

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Understanding of cyber security & privacy regulations relevant to financial services organizations.
  • Industry cyber security certification(s): (CISM, CISSP, or similar)
  • Successful experience leading a team that is part of a connected program while delivering individual team results as well.
  • Experience developing and implementing associate development programs to address sustainable development of relevant technical knowledge
