Guidehouse Digitally is seeking to hire NetApp Engineer to support our federal project in College Park, MD. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert for NetApp storage and technologies, overseeing the operations of 4.6PB of NetApp storage utilizing NFS, CIFS and iSCSI protocols for data access.
- Perform routine ONTAP and firmware upgrades.
- Design solutions for new hardware upgrades, to include decommissioning and re-utilization of old hardware, disk shelves, etc.
- Will be responsible for providing NetApp training classes to engineering staff as well as coaching and guidance for junior storage administrators.
- Work with NetApp service account team for case management, maintenance renewals and new equipment purchases.
- Full life cycle ticket handling/documentation experience is a must; experience attaining SLA/other metric goals is a plus
- Willing to perform rotational on-call support to include weekends and non-standard working hours in a high volume 24x7/365 operational environment
- General Red Hat Linux system administration, security patching, OS upgrades, troubleshooting issues and ensuring maximum availability
- Perform system backups and recovery
- Maintain system and application data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
- Monitor system health and configurations in order to ensure system health and functionality as well as remediate issues in a timely manner
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
- BS/BA degree in a related area (or equivalent experience)
- NetApp Storage and Red Hat Linux system Adminitration experience is required
- Operational experience in a high volume, 24x7x365 environment
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required for the position.
- Candidate must successfully pass a Federal Background Investigation
