Cable Quality Assurance Manager with TS/SCI FSP at its

Columbia, MD location.

Responsibilities
  • Assures consistent quality in the development of cable installation, termination and testing; enforcing, validating processes, providing documentation, and managing staff.
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining improvements; and implementing change.
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; and monitoring inventories.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualification, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Collaborates with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Evaluates field inspection reports.
  • Develop and implementation of procedures and processes to increase efficiency in use of materials and manpower to maintain or increase quality assurance and/or scheduling requirements.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities;
  • Implementing business processes and assisting in process improvement initiatives in order to enhance customer service.

Qualifications

Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph

Baseline Certification

: A valid BICSI Installer 2, Copper or Installer 2, Optical Fiber certification is required. Three additional years of experience may be substituted for certification.

Education/

Years of Experience:
  • BA or BS in appropriate discipline and five (5) years experience, or Associate's Degree and seven (7) years experience, or have completed high school with ten (10) years experience.
  • Experience with Cable QA measuring and testing equipment
  • Knowledge of Cable safety requirements and legal standards
  • Working knowledge of quality system requirements
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Project Management
