Job Summary:

As a Junior Business Analyst – Documentation Specialist,you will solicit, understand, and document the customer's requirements, processes, and workflows. You will also work with developers to create the functional specifications that meet those requirements, serve as a subject matter expert to the developers building those functions, and work with the QA team to test the developed functionality. This role works closely with other BAs, Developers, Testers, and Production Support through each stage of the software development lifecycle and also demonstrates both existing and new functionality to the customer stakeholders.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Deliver precise functionalspecifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to clients and development staff
  • Be responsible for direct interaction with various stakeholders to ensure project documentation is up to date and accurately reflects the delivered project to the client.
  • Gather requirements and help buildand document specifications for development
  • Understand basic SDLC methodology and maintain documentation to ensure accurate and traceable requirements.
  • Be responsible for the creation of project documentation to fulfill various project needs, as well as the cleanup of these documents throughout the course of the projects
  • Manage multiple competing prioritiesthrough effective organization and communication
  • Assist with updating the Learning Management System content to ensure training materials for FEI Systems products has up to date content for business analyst’s reference.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in technology-related field or relevant experience in implementing software
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques
  • Highly organized with focused attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop and prepare use cases, functional specifications, and technical requirements
  • Knowledge of process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and evaluation processes
  • Strongconsultative and advisory skills
  • Ability for logical thinking with strong solution skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Prior experience creating and cleaning up documents including ATP (Authorization to Proceed), LOE (Level of Effort), User stories and Use cases
  • Familiarity with the clinical and business processes within Behavioral Health settings as well as in-depth understanding of general healthcare treatment
