Job Summary:

This individual works in a team environment in a hybrid role in Columbia, MD, and will be responsible for planning and conducting a wide range of quality control tasks, including analyzing requirements; test planning and strategy; developing and executing test cases; evaluating and documenting test results; and promoting teamwork and organizational integrity.

Responsibilities:

Review documentation to understand testing requirements, test environments and objectives.
Use standardized testing methods, tools and procedures to ensure testing is efficient, effective and comprehensive.
Translate requirements into detailed test plans and test cases.
Design and create test cases / scripts to validate requirements
Execute manual and automated test cases and test scripts.
Perform functional integration and regression testing.
Advise Test Manager/Project Manager regarding overall quality of project and state of work.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and management team.

Required Skills:

Experience with test case preparation, test execution, requirement traceability, peer reviews, defect tracking
Experience with Agile based projects
Experience with MicroFocus ALM and/or JIRA
Experience with EDI transactions
Experience with database queries

Preferred Skills:

Experience with 270/271 transactions
Experience with Medicare
Experience with TCP/IP, SOAP & MIME protocols.
Experience with JMeter & SOAP UI
Experience with CMS projects

Education/Experience Level:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology-related field (preferred).
5 years of prior Health IT experience.
