Job Summary:

This individual works in a team environment in a hybrid role in Columbia, MD, and will be responsible for planning and conducting a wide range of quality control tasks, including analyzing requirements; test planning and strategy; developing and executing test cases; evaluating and documenting test results; and promoting teamwork and organizational integrity.

Responsibilities:
  • Review documentation to understand testing requirements, test environments and objectives.
  • Use standardized testing methods, tools and procedures to ensure testing is efficient, effective and comprehensive.
  • Translate requirements into detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Design and create test cases / scripts to validate requirements
  • Execute manual and automated test cases and test scripts.
  • Perform functional integration and regression testing.
  • Advise Test Manager/Project Manager regarding overall quality of project and state of work.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and management team.

Required Skills:
  • Experience with test case preparation, test execution, requirement traceability, peer reviews, defect tracking
  • Experience with Agile based projects
  • Experience with MicroFocus ALM and/or JIRA
  • Experience with EDI transactions
  • Experience with database queries

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with 270/271 transactions
  • Experience with Medicare
  • Experience with TCP/IP, SOAP & MIME protocols.
  • Experience with JMeter & SOAP UI
  • Experience with CMS projects

Education/Experience Level:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology-related field (preferred).
  • 5 years of prior Health IT experience.

Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid). Full time position with full company benefits.
