This position is intended to convert to an employee for the right candidate. Job description is below, and while candidates may not possess all skills identified, strong candidates will be knowledgeable in networking, troubleshooting and recovery operations.

Works with team of local IT experts to support internal and external clients within North America - LAN and WAN experience required May perform in a working supervisory role. Provides recommendations on client server hardware, software and back-up/recovery solutions that can support Conduent provided transit applications (develops conceptual, logical or physical network designs) Provides hands on support for installations and troubleshooting local infrastructure issues. Develop or recommend network security measures such as firewalls, network security audits or automated security probes Develop or recommend best practice IT security measures related to items that include but not limited to user access, Windows server, VMWare etc. Assists senior SW and Systems Engineers with designing and implementing new solutions. Maintains documentation on current system and recommends system improvements Administers onsite and remote assistance as needed. Manages task based queue or work completed tickets in the order which received and/or based on criticality. Participates in planning, daily stand-ups, backlogs sessions. Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Level 2 support for clients and coordinates with local customer service team

Technical skills: Demonstrated use of Wireshark and other network monitoring software Preferred Cisco administration experience Knowledge and experience with Windows Operating Systems Knowledge and experience with VMWare recommended Cisco administration experience optional Able to identify or resolve operational problemsDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software or other network and systems problems, and replace defective components when necessary Experience with backup and disaster recovery operations Knowledge of Cloud architectures desired
