Principal Responsibilities
  • Act as a testing liaison to Application Development Organizations and Federal Government Agency stakeholders
  • Envision and implement flexible new testing approaches in support of Agile/DevOps development efforts
  • Automate testing whenever possible
  • Communicate with a variety of stakeholders including federal government and partner application development organizations
  • Collect and review quantitative and qualitative data related to software testing and development activities for measurement and analysis
  • Provide technical and testing leadership to other members of the team
  • Help increase productivity through continuous process improvements
  • Understand applications from both a technical and business perspective

Required Skills/Experience
  • Software Development Engineering hands on, current experience, expert development skills and thought leader
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and comfortable presenting to large groups of various levels of an organization
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of automated testing framework, technologies and strategies
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Must have strong analytical abilities
  • Knowledge of software test engineering
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask over multiple projects
  • Must be able to understand business needs
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail
  • Must have 1-2 years’ experience with Selenium & Cucumber
  • At least a year of Testing and Development experience, plus a college degree
  • Proven success developing excellent working relationships with clients and teaming partners
  • Possess a technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools and deployment processes and tools
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing and Automated Testing
  • Experience with manual and automated testing of web-based software
  • Experience working with multiple development organizations or teams
  • Experience supporting testing in an Agile environment
  • Experience in a variety of Agile frameworks
  • Experience in a DevOps environment
  • Experience in a cloud environment, such as Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with DevOps / Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe) Testing and Agile related certifications

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Ruby
  • Passionate about staying current on trends and best practices in software development and testing tools
  • Experience with developing automation test scripts
  • Experience with SoapUI testing tools
  • Experience with SQL scripting
  • Working knowledge of web application programming, API, databases and system design
  • Working knowledge of source control tools such as Git, SVN, and TFS
  • Working knowledge of build/release tools such as Jenkins and Nexus
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, PHP, Ruby, etc.
  • Working knowledge of testing tools such as Testrail, JAWS, NVDA, Chromelens, Sortsite, Screener.io, Wave and Allure
  • Working knowledge of collaboration and communication tools such as JIRA, HipChat, Swagger and Confluence
  • Dynamic and Static Security Testing; continuous vulnerability testing
  • Performance testing (i.e., LoadRunner, Jmeter)
  • Accessibility (508) testing
  • Visibility testing Experience
  • Functional testing Experience
  • Integration testing Experience
  • User Story test coverage metrics and automated dashboards
