Job SummaryThe Vice President of Business Development will primarily source conversations with departments within state government health and human services agencies, building relationships and understanding departmental technology goals and needs. Candidates should have knowledge of the state procurement process, including management of RFI and RFP response process. They should be eager to promote FEI’s products and build pipelines and prospects. Principal Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong, informed sales pipelines and prospects.
- Generate new clients leads for business opportunities within the Healthcare IT Solutions space, including State, County and Medicare/Medicaid Managed Care Organizations.
- Establish and foster strong relationships with key staff at State Agencies within executive and non-executive roles
- Enable and participate in strategic conversations promoting FEI’s value driven through the Blue Compass product suite
- Drive and lead all internal and external activities to evaluate, capture and close sales through finalization of agreements with customers.
- 5 years minimum of sales experience selling to State and Local Government Agencies, preferably with Health & Human Services
- Proven track record of success selling to State and Local Government Agencies and attaining established sales quota’s
- Deep understanding of healthcare IT Industry and knowledge of competitive and relevant market data
- Knowledgeable of the RFP in the state procurement process.
- Existing relationships within Health & Human Services Agencies in the Northeast (Preferred)
