We are currently looking for a Level 2 Desktop Technician to support our client in Elkton, MD. This is a 12-month contract and an opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment. The candidate should be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility for emergencies / off-hours issues.Scope of Activity and Responsibilities:
- Building, deploying, and supporting Windows-based computers
- Managing hardware retrieval
- Printing Support - Managing paper, toner, and device maintenance
- Hardware and Application / Tool Testing in partnership with Desktop Engineering
- Providing onsite and remote support for users
- Documenting all activity and interactions in the ticketing system
- User and group administration in Active Directory and Office 365
- Supporting switching and cabling
- Supporting Apple mobile devices
- Desk setup / installation
- Working predominantly in a windows environment
- Training will be provided for the apple device support
- 2+ years of related work experience in PC break-fix or technical training / equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
- Able to walk from station to station helping users
- A+ Certification desired
- Proactive, consultative approach to solving issues
- Able to customize the customer experience for every individual all communication, instructions, and product knowledge to the level of the individual
- Relatable and responsible when interacting with any customer on campus or remote
- Ability to work as both an individual contributor and as part of a team
- Reliable
- Enthusiastic about technology and is willing to learn new platforms
