Specific job duties include:Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8 system administration.Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.Administering virtualized server environments with Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHV)Hardening servers and applications to DISA standards (STIGs) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans and documenting variances from the guidelines when needed.Hardening infrastructure resources in compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).Monitoring infrastructure availability and performance.Automating system patch availability, configuration management, and compliance auditing using, Ansible, and/or other automated CM products.Creating documentation on current processes and newly engineered solutions.Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.DDesired Certifications:One of the following certifications (or be able to obtain within 6 months):o Security+ CEo CISSPOne of the following certifications are a plus:o Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)o Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)Experience:Administering virtualized server environments including Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM).Experience with the IAVM process and system patching.Experience writing and managing scripts and utilities to automate day to day systems administration and configuration management tasks.Functional working knowledge in these areas: HTTP, LDAP, Kerberos, NFS, and DNS.Ability to do bash and Ansible scripting.Working knowledge of GIT and how to use it for CM of scripts and Ansible content.Basic networking knowledge and hands on, including System Networking Configuration, DNS, and Firewalls.Experience with basic RHEL services configuration such as HTTPD and/or NGINX.Experience with FreeIPA / Red Hat IdM a plus.Understanding of Agile Software development processes.Salary and Benefits include but not limited to:
