Data Systems Analysts has an immediate opening for a Senior Trainer that can integrate tightly into a Government team where the individual staff members are all expert in their subject areas. Responsible for developing training materials and scenarios for informal training and the review and evaluation of existing training materials for a customer buying, delivering, installing, and providing training on hardware/software suites for security worldwide. The selected candidate will be expected to use industry best practices in adult learning principles and theories. This position requires a Senior Trainer than can work in a high tempo environment, identify needed training scenarios, distill information from software and hardware manuals on use of software and basic troubleshooting techniques if problems occur, and put that into briefing presentation that would be understandable to both the basic and advanced user. When required the trainer will provide training via virtual sessions such as MS Teams or Zoom to customers in different geographical locations.This work is expected to be accomplished from a Ft Meade, MD Government location with potential infrequent local travel.Experience with the DoDExperience building training materials used by functional testers to ensure they understand how the software operatesDemonstrated ability to interface with testing organizations to identify training required prior to operational testsExperience as a facilitator of training to organizations, installation teams, testers, and evaluators of hardware/software suitesAssess student knowledge, skills and abilities to gauge student proficiency in topic areaExperience developing training prototypes and explaining functionality in terms understandable by users, testers, and functionalsExperience using web-based or distance learning teaching technologies, to include on-line forums and multimedia presentationsPerform task and skill analysis of training requirements to develop learning objectives within training materialsExperience developing training for suites of security hardware/softwareExperience instructing users on automated systemsExperience in training delivery management for documenting instructor and end user training and certification and providing associated attendance and performance tracking and reportingExperience preparing and delivering oral presentations4+ years of experience providing support in such areas as course development, training and testing material development, and instruction deliveryDSA recognizes that the global spread of COVID-19 is a challenging time for everyone.
