This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. Salary Range: $89,931 - $183,500 (Full Performance, Senior, Expert).

We're looking for talented Mixed Signals Engineers to direct research to design and test beyond state-of-the-art analog and digital circuits to contribute to our ever-growing research mission. These candidates would be in constant collaboration with other scientists and engineers in a research environment with fluid design requirements over a wide range of parameters and technologies.

As a Mixed Signals Engineer, you will:- Investigate and conduct studies on the linkages between device performance (transistors, resistors, capacitors, wiring) and analog circuit performance, as well as fundamentals of circuit and functional block layout;- Select, develop, and specify digital circuit components, assemblies and parameters to create a solution to meet performance requirements by analyzing requirements, making engineering trade-offs, and investigating technical solutions;- Review integrated circuit designs, hardware at the component, board, or cabinet level, and associated test data; - Utilize advanced control techniques for precision analog control systems including assemblies, boards, FPGAs, ASICs, and mixed analog/digital; - Create and maintain up-to-date documentation on hardware components and systems; - Apply principles and methods used for test planning, evaluation, verification, and validation of systems or system elements; - Perform trade studies for system requirements definition.
