Commercial Development and Construction Project Manager

Do you have more than 5 years experience in project management? Have you worked in commercial building or land development?

As the Commercial Development and Construction Project Manager you will serve as the owners representative on Land and Commercial Development, and Historical Renovation projects. You will enjoy local contracts, reasonable hours, variety in your projects, and the security of a sound and growing organization.

Your duties include:

Assist in the management of the construction process for all CRE ground-up projects as well as redevelopment, reposition and renovation activities.

Supervise all phases of construction in the field.

Assist in land development and engineering design.

Design management, monitoring of construction activities, and enforcement of construction contract compliance.

Projects file management (including construction documentation, O&M Manuals, warranty records, material specifications, inspection records and as-builts).

Ensure that projects are completed within allocated budget and proposed timelines.

Interact daily with customer base, perform onsite inspections.

Provide leasing support to property agents and assist in mediating construction inconveniences and building functionality performance with tenants.

Be responsible for overall appearance of commercial projects.

Communicate progress, needs and concerns to senior level staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction and project management.

Residency within 30 minutes of Frederick or willingness to relocate.

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.

An interest in historical renovations and community advocacy projects.

Knowledge and understanding of construction principles and practices as they relate to land development and commercial construction.

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and site plans.

Ability to deal effectively with contractors, fellow employees, government representatives and the public/customers.

Experience with tenants, property management and multi-family builds are a plus.

Ability to budget effectively, including quantity takeoffs from construction drawings, using math skills, construction experience and site evaluation.

Strong organizational skills including ability to schedule effectively.

Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with limited direction.

Computer skills: Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Project.

This position offers:

Salary of $90-130K annually with bonus potential
