Job DescriptionOur customer is a turn key vendor that supports OSP and ISP construction for Telecommunication efforts. They are a large General Contractor that supports the MD, DC, VA, and WV market with recent expansion to NJ and Vermont. The major of their business and relative to the Cable TV industry. This Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing teams of up to 15 people.We are looking for Construction Coordinators to support their OSP telecommunications construction efforts not limited to Commercial (Metro E and SMB) and Residential MDU (Multiple Dwelling Units) and SDU (Single Dwelling Unit) jobs.These construction coordinators will be aligned geographically and will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish. This will involve overseeing internal crews as well as contractors to ensure projects are meeting deadlines, perform quality control, and provide the end client with various updates. They will be overseeing Coax Splicers and should have some knowledge with inspecting/splicing 565 count, 625 count, 715 count, and 825 count coax as well as large fiber bundles. Ultimately they will be reporting to a project manager and the client itself to provide meeting updates and tracking/reports within excel or client specific software.These will be turn key projects so they will be performing site surveys, site walks, creating and validating BOM's, approving line items, setting expectations with end clients, coordinating construction with various crews, performing QC, and working project through close out to validate As-builts. Need to be comfortable creating accurate timelines after assessing projects.Experience working across Design, Permitting, and Construction is a plus. But they do have an in-house permitting team. 3+ Years of experience with Telecommunications OSP Construction - Specific to CATV construction
Experience performing site walks, vendor interaction/management, delivering on timelines, Quality Assurance, and Project Tracking (Turn Key Projects)
High Engagement and Communication Abilities.
Additional Skills & QualificationsThis person needs to be motivated and have the ability to take initiative. They will have a strong support system and need to know when to escalate issues to higher managers. Also in charge of raising awareness around vendor performance. Tons of collaboration internally and externally.
