Contract to Hire –

Principal Software Web Application Development EngineerSeeking to hire a contractor for our

Germantown, MD office. Candidate will be responsible for developing new and modifying existing business and operations applications in support of our services. Candidate will be responsible for implementing the entire software development life cycle during all application development from requirements gathering through deployment. Candidate will be responsible for development primarily in Java with other development technologies employed as needed by the given assignment. In addition to assignments, candidate will be expected to perform design and code reviews and assist with major troubleshooting activities that may arise.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field with 12-15 years of overall experienceyears web application development experience
10+ years of Java Development Experience
6+ years of experience with multiple web technologies including Javascript, Ajax, CSS, HTML
6+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions
12+ years on both Windows and Linux OS
6+ years experience with REST based web services
6+ years understanding of OO principles and methodology
Implementation knowledge of DevOps, CICD tools, Containers, Kubernetes, Kafka, Microservice Architecture, Springboot, Node.js, Public Cloud

Preferred Qualifications:

Any experience with Angular JS and Spring is a plus.
Any experience with Docker Containers is a plus
Any experience with Atlassian JIRA is a plus
