What does a great Senior Certification Analyst do for Fiserv?

  • This position is responsible for managing the overall certification process, includes EMV and Rapid Connect. This role assists Mid-Market and National merchants and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in coding to First Data (Fiserv) Specifications to assure all electronic transactions process to receive the maximum number of approvals, qualify at the best interchange rate and receive the least amount of chargebacks and fines from the Brands.
  • Ensures the successful execution and completion of certification and testing functions for products, systems, processes and/or files. Reviews and analyzes requirements, creates test scripts, reviews and analyzes message formats, performs low and/or high-level testing and reports on testing status and results. Identifies and recommends process improvements to management. Updates documentation and specifications.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
  • 5+ years of related testing or technical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of transaction processing formats.
  • Strong knowledge in assigned functional area of support (PC, Terminal, Vendor, or Internal Products) as well as telecommunications and operating systems.
  • May be required to have strong programming, shell script, JCL and/or data file analysis knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of industry association rules and products and services offered to customers.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and functions. North mainframe experience a plus.
  • Daily job requires a working relationship with internal business partners, i.e.: Compliance, Front and Back-end developers, TCoE, Product, Integrated Partners and Business channels.
  • Proficiency in MSOffice Products especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Project.
  • Ability to manage rapid change in a diverse and fast-paced environment. Determination and drive to continually follow-up and validation information. May require working some weekends and after business hours to support channel client project requirements.
  • Debug authorization, settlement and communication protocol errors and message format. Throughout the lifecycle of the project you may be required to troubleshoot and investigate prior opening a Defect request. Performing due diligence to effectively troubleshoot independently prior to engaging management.
  • Excellent Verbal Communication Skills to lead calls with Clients, Internal resources, and Management team.
  • Providing business and technical requirements to Client and internal resources.
  • Commitment to be part of the team and to support others in making the wider team a success. Must take initiative in building a network of contacts within Fiserv, interfacing with multiple IT groups and business units.
