Description of Assignment/Role:
  • Experience in the development of ALC programs using ALC coding standards.
  • Design, develop and maintain Mainframe ALC & JCL to meet support and/or project requirements.
  • Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
  • Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
  • Work with ALC developers to convert legacy code from ALC to JAVA.
  • In-depth experience in analyzing, documenting, and converting complex Assembler Language Code ALC modules to Java.
  • Able to support Java developers by providing explanation of ALC code functioning and logic
  • Document existing logic
  • Work in agile team to modernize existing systems.
  • Documentation and maintenance of ALC to Java conversion process, and other ALC to Java-related support as required.
  • Experience with full systems development life-cycle -SDLC engineering methodologies and with developing formal recommendations, design and implementation of enterprise architectures.
  • Experience working on a medium to large-scale government contract.
RequirementsStaff resource skillsets should include:
  • Active IRS MBI clearance
  • A minimum of 5 8 years collective developing applications in ALC.
  • Understanding of Java is a plus.
  • JAVA on the mainframe
  • Focus on defect resolution
  • Prior experience working on Agile teams.
  • IRS/BMF/IMF/CADE 2 experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
  • Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
  • Bachelors Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates
