- Experience in the development of ALC programs using ALC coding standards.
- Design, develop and maintain Mainframe ALC & JCL to meet support and/or project requirements.
- Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
- Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
- Work with ALC developers to convert legacy code from ALC to JAVA.
- In-depth experience in analyzing, documenting, and converting complex Assembler Language Code ALC modules to Java.
- Able to support Java developers by providing explanation of ALC code functioning and logic
- Document existing logic
- Work in agile team to modernize existing systems.
- Documentation and maintenance of ALC to Java conversion process, and other ALC to Java-related support as required.
- Experience with full systems development life-cycle -SDLC engineering methodologies and with developing formal recommendations, design and implementation of enterprise architectures.
- Experience working on a medium to large-scale government contract.
- Active IRS MBI clearance
- A minimum of 5 8 years collective developing applications in ALC.
- Understanding of Java is a plus.
- JAVA on the mainframe
- Focus on defect resolution
- Prior experience working on Agile teams.
- IRS/BMF/IMF/CADE 2 experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
- Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
- Bachelors Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates
