Multimedia Specialist - NAWCAD (NAWCAD-22-0161-W):

Bowhead is seeking to network with a Multimedia Specialist (video producer and photographer) for a potential upcoming requirement in support of the Corporate Operations Department, Corporate Communications Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD). Multimedia Specialist / Video producer and photographer Individual must understand how to visually tell a story using photojournalism techniques. Research, prepare, and disseminate information through various digital media outlets. Demonstrates proficiency in operating digital video and still camera equipment and visual editing software. Must be able to produce motion graphics for video and have strong knowledge of lighting design and sound design. Schedule and conduct on-camera interviews for story development and production. Advise leadership on video/photo equipment requirements and emerging media practices. Responsibilities: • Must understand how to visually tell a story using photojournalism techniques. • Research, prepare, and disseminate information through various digital media outlets. • Demonstrates proficiency in operating digital video and still camera equipment and visual editing software. • Must be able to produce motion graphics for video and have strong knowledge of lighting design and sound design. • Schedule and conduct on-camera interviews for story development and production. • Advise leadership on video/photo equipment requirements and emerging media practices. • Secondary tasking may include graphic design and photography. • Producing or assisting with tactical print collateral (i.e., newspaper layout, brochures, posters, flyers, newsletters) and digital illustrations (i.e., logos, website graphics, and infographics). • Must be able to capture high quality portrait photography in studio environment, edit still images utilizing photographic software, print high quality images and mount prints in a variety of formats. BS or BA degree in Mass Communication, Video/Film Production, Photography, or related audiovisual field. Allowable Substitution: Associates degree in audiovisual communication and three (3) years of experience. Minimum (5) years of experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After-Effects, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Studio, PC and Mac operating systems, photojournalism techniques, digital video file conversion, motion graphics, infographics, and still photography. Strong project management skills are necessary with ability to take visual projects from concept to completion. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
