Northrop Grumman Chief Information Office is seeking an IT Operations Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position can be located in either Linthicum, MD or Redondo Beach, CA. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at either our Linthicum, MD campus or our Redondo Beach, CA campus.

This position will be responsible for leading the functional management and operations team of the Northrop Grumman Restricted Network (NGRN) corporate infrastructure that supports multiple programs across every Northrop Grumman sector as a service. The successful candidate will bring a strong management approach with the ability to also understand technical details and lead this important service. Throughout the lifecycle support, new services will be created and supported to meet the user's needs.

This position requires leadership, excellent communication skills, and a focus on process in order to deliver as it is a geographically dispersed team of systems administrators, network engineers, and desktop technicians. An ability to interface with all levels of management is important.

Responsibilities will include interfacing with sector CIOs, their staff, sector program managers, and executive leadership; developing program plans and milestones and then delivering on them; and ensuring processes are documented and followed and that services remain available and relevant to our customers.

Occasional travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in an Information Technology Management or lead role.
  • Must be customer-focused with proven leadership and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience managing IT related projects, budgets, and meeting schedule commitments.
  • Candidate must be entrepreneurial, a self-starter, and have the ability to challenge the status quo while providing innovative solutions that create strategic value and discriminators for our customers.
  • Experience managing IT personnel and/or delivering large scale project deliverables in an IT environment.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance adjudicated or reinvestigated within the last 5 years with ability to obtain a polygraph; maintaining the required security clearance and polygraph will be a condition of continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing systems administration of Windows or Linux servers and/or experience building and maintaining networks utilizing Cisco technologies.
  • Current Security+CE certification.
  • Familiarity with enterprise datacenter architectures and technologies.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud computing technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
This position reports to Linthicum, MD, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Redondo Beach, CA, CA, USA.

Salary Range: $128,400 USD - $201,800 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
