- Strategy Development: Provide thought leadership in the development and execution of application, cloud enterprise, and domain-specific IT strategies, standards, and guidelines. Engage in business strategy development to identify new business capability and technology-driven opportunities and ensure alignment and prioritization of IT strategy. Define business and operating models to exploit new opportunities and realize strategic goals and objectives. Support due diligence on merger, acquisition, strategic partnership, and investment activities of the enterprise.
- Application development: Lead the development, tailoring, and enhancement of cloud enterprise architecture frameworks, methods, and tools as it applies to enterprise applications and services. . Ensure the alignment and integration of enterprise architecture processes and deliverables with those of other architecture and SDLC disciplines. Lead the development of application enterprise architecture communications and education materiel for use with business and technical stakeholders or partners within IT Application Development. Prepares and publishes formal application architecture documents, produces architecture development plans and reports, and presents staff actions to customers (e.g., white papers, briefings).
- Application Architecture and Engineering Development: Provide oversight for development, review, approve, and maintain application enterprise architecture blueprints and roadmaps. Analyze pain points and opportunities that transcend business areas and propose enterprise strategies or solutions. Provide oversight and ensure the quality of reusable architecture patterns and reference models. Ensure alignment across architecture and business domains and traceability to business and IT strategy.
- Aplication Architecture and Engineering Governance: Represent Application Enterprise Architecture and provide thought leadership in solution architecture peer reviews and architecture governance forums. Ensure that IT portfolio decisions provide business value and optimize total cost of ownership. Lead operations of the Architecture Review Board.
- Application Architecture and Engineering Consulting: Provide guidance to enterprise, domain and solution architects to ensure that solution architectures align with IT strategies and enterprise blueprints, standards, and guidelines. Researches, develops, documents, and analyzes enterprise architectures (including business, enterprise information environment, intelligence processes, and IT) to identify mission capability gaps, overlaps, and shortfalls.
- Solution Assessment: Represent Application Enterprise Architecture in the identification and evaluation of solution alternatives, including the drafting and/or review of strategic RFIs/RFPs and the evaluation of vendor proposals.
- Planning and Operations: Assess projects for application architecture impacts in support of annual planning, resource estimation, and alignment with IT strategy and enterprise architecture. Provide regular reporting on progress, issues, and opportunities related to enterprise architecture.
- 14 years progressive engineering experience leading multiple business facing enterpriselevel cross domain engineering initiatives OR12 years progressive experience in Application Delivery and Management in the Cloudleading multiple business facing enterprise level application operations OR10 years' experience in Engineering Management leading multiple business facing enterprise Architecture and application initiatives.
- Deep background in cloud operations in cloud environments.
- Practical experience in cloud migration projects and operations.
- Experience with cloud migration technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques and workflows (on premise to Cloud Platforms).
- Experience architecting, building, and deploying multi-tiered applications.
- Experience in performing modernization work (re-hosting, re-platforming, service enablement or re-facing).
- Experience with Mainframe, Java, or .Net technologies.
- Azure trained / certified architect.
- Experience with implementation options for cloud capabilities (i.e., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, DevOps, VMware, Hybrid/Public Cloud).
- Understanding of various cloud layers, technologies, and environments such as multi-tenant, private, hybrid cloud etc.
- Understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS architectures, as well as the platforms and tools required to operate them.
- Platform Migration.
- Ability to motivate and influence others so that project objectives are met in a timely manner.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop high quality solutions.
- Ability to coach peers and team members.
