Role: Azure Test Environment Manager Location: Owings Mills, MD (Remote until COVID restrictions)FTE Opportunity Job DescriptionJob Summary : Primary skill: Ansible, Azure, Jenkins Responsible for provisioning & managing test and non-production environment estate and shall be the point of contact for project teams for any test environment related queries or requests. Roles & Responsibilities :Demonstrate a broad understanding of all aspects of IT and deep understanding of own specialism(s).Organise and facilitate Environment Definition Workshop(s) with required stakeholders and dependent groups in order to gather the requisite inputs of test requirements, expectations, technical dependencies, operational dependencies, processes and envisaged challenges. Efficiently produce Environment Definition Document (EDD) and Environment Design Plan (EDP).Manage Partners and 3rd party suppliers to ensure Environment Management SLAs are met.Drive innovation and improvements in the provision and management of test and non-production environments internally and with 3rd parties.Responsible for highlighting test environment risks and manage clashes effectively. Identify and implement industry processes and methodologies.Review delivery roadmap ensuring environments can meet demand, highlighting any risks to key stakeholders.Maintain scheduling accuracy and adapt to evolving project schedules and priorities.Maintain focus on quality through the delivery process.Provide clear communication to all environment users and team members on the direction and strategies used to manage environments Knowledge and Experience.Experience of delivering Environment Management within an organisation with large scale IT and Business change. Experience of working with 3rd parties with a mixed onshore/offshore model. Understanding & experience of IT Project Management methods. Experience of developing SLA and OLAs to support environments with a mix of internal and external infrastructure and application providers. Understanding of Test Methodologies. Experience in IT governance, service management processes, test metrics and operational reporting.Understanding of IT Infrastructure including Servers, Middleware and Networks. A good understanding of the Software development life-cycle supporting both Agile and Waterfall. ITIL Service Management knowledge and experience including change, configuration, release, incident and problem management in a non-production environment. Tools experience such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, SNOW, Jira, Azure is advantageous.
