Patuxent River, MD office.

Job Description: The ITSM Administrator will join a team of professionals who excel in the administration, development, testing and maintenance of ITSM applications for a high-visibility and fast paced program supporting the U.S. Navy. This high-performing team works with internal and external stakeholders to deliver digital transformation and continual service improvement solutions with specific work within Ivanti Service Manager's Incident, Service Request, Change, Knowledge and Configuration Management modules. The ideal candidate will be resourceful and creative in problem solving, empathetic and obsessive about the customer experience, and passionate and enthusiastic about technical innovation. You must be able to juggle multiple and competing tasks simultaneously, excel at working independently while collaborating with a team, and have a proven ability to maintain professionalism and a smile under pressure. You must be flexible and adaptable to a wide range of tasks and technologies, demonstrating both a depth and breadth of technical skills and knowledge. Your focus is on always improving the customer experience and getting things done.   • Receive, triage, manage and close ITSM related tickets on daily basis, demonstrating ownership of all customer issues and inquiries, and driving the prioritization of operational problems and requests
  • Perform daily server and application checks to identify system variances before they impact operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis of critical issues and problems
  • Build, test and deploy release packages to ITSM Environment
  • Work with developers to ensure design quality and functional capabilities are realized, contribute to architecture discussions, participate in designs, design reviews, and implementation
  • Lead technical demos, discussions and training sessions.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including SOPs, training material and user guides
  • Interface with customers to document requirements, translate them into user stories and use cases and create solution design documentation to enable the team to deliver fully functional solutions.
  • Translate complex IT concepts and technical issues into simple terms
  • Manage and drive high priority projects independently and with limited supervision

Required Skills:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Minimum of an interim Secret Clearance
  • AS Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Education may be substituted with ten (10) years of demonstrated relevant experience.
  • This tasking shall require personnel to possess and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance (Interim Secret is acceptable to start).
  • Must have Ivanti Service Manager's Incident, Service Request, Change, Knowledge and Configuration Management modules.
  • Experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of an ITSM application
  • 2-4 years of hands-on support of IT systems, applications or related experience in a production environment
  • 1-2 years of System Administration experience for help desk systems (Ivanti, LANDesk, Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Methodical problem solving and excellent analytical skills
  • Strong initiative, drive and a willingness to learn new technologies, ready to roll up their sleeves and be hands-on

Desired Skills:
  • Active Security Clearance
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification
