Dovel Technologies, a Guidehouse company is seeking a Development DBA (PL/SQL) in supporting of a new program and customer initiative. Work location is currently remote during the pandemic, but will eventually be Rockville, MD.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform database tuning & performance monitoring
  • Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages using Oracle 11g or newer
  • Participate in production implementations working closely with other members of the production support group to ensure the proper transition of system changes into the production environments
  • Perform general technical trouble shooting & give consultation to development teams
  • Data analysis and debugging with a focus on identifying data quality issues
  • Create & maintain technical documentation including system diagrams & operational procedures
  • Support peer reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems or an associated discipline or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 5 years of job-related experience as an Oracle Database Developer
  • Ability to create, modify, and tune SQL queries and PL\SQL code
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data, system performance issues
  • Experience in and success with Agile software development methodologies, especially Scrum or Kanban
  • Knowledge with AWS cloud technologies like RedShift and Matillion ETL
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of AWS
