LCG Inc. is seeking a highly talented Infrastructure Team Lead with a strong background in Systems and Administration to oversee a team of engineers delivering IT Support Services to existing federal customer at Department of Health and Human Services. The ideal candidate will manage Network Engineers and Systems Administrators covering Business Operations, Scientific Computing, and Clinical IT Support. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Project Manager and communicate work assignments to team members. The candidate must be aware of project management concepts and must have the ability to initiate new projects and create planning documents, communication plans, status reports and presentations.
Duties and Responsibility include:- Provide day to day management and coordination of the Infrastructure Services team including production systems, test systems, resource management and project assignments
- Ensure infrastructure components such as not limited to Networks, Data Centers, Servers, SANs, NAS, Virtual Machines, Firewalls, Cloud Services and Storage Components are optimally maintained to achieve the highest value to the customer
- Responsible for team’s use of Change Management process while maintaining customer’s ServiceNow configuration management database
- Maintain and expand comprehensive system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation
- Responsible to manage server patching, and support security remediations including application of the NIH configuration baseline settings via group policy settings
- Participate in other functional areas to resolve production problems and initiate corrective actions
- Meet expected quality of service and communications on maintenance and deployment of upgrades, enhancements, and modifications to systems
- Promote and implement standards and procedures that provide metrics and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare for and respond to audits for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures
- Experience supporting Healthcare/Biomedical/Bioinformatics/Pharmaceutical Information Technology Services
- Participate in the planning and implementation of IT modernization activities, and systems integration
- Bachelor’s in a Scientific or IT Field with 5-7 Years of Experience
- Certified ITIL Version 4 and expert knowledge of the change management, release management, configuration management processes
- Agile Kanban techniques for IT Operations
- Experience providing oversight in one of the following areas:
- Healthcare/Biomedical/Bioinformatics/Pharmaceutical Information Technology Support
- Experience with VMWare, ManageEngine Operations Manager, Splunk
- Experience with Database support, including Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Experience with Data Loss Prevention, Nutanix, as well as back-up software Cohesity, Commvault, and Veem
- Experience with primary cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and or Google
