As an Engineer on our team, you'll be expected to lead by example, write great code, solve difficult problems, set a high bar for the team around you and help them achieve engineering excellence. Example of an initiative: Work on development for an analytical web tool with nation-wide end users. The application captures data across all exchanges and allows users to query biillions of records from terabytes worth of data on cloud.
- Work on an Agile development team to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
- Collaborate with the cross-functional team to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios and deliver technical solutions to those objectives
- Work within a team with deep experience in distributed microservices, big-data technologies (HIVE, Presto, Spark, Hadoop, etc.) and full-stack systems.
- Develop solutions on AWS by leveraging serverless technology in order to build highly available, scalable and cost efficient systems.
- Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, and participate in internal & external technology communities
- Demonstrate Innovation, ownership and self-starter mentality
- Java, Springboot, REST expertise
- Strong experience complex SQL queries against Relational databases
- Experience working with the following technology stack: AWS (Deep AWS), EMR on either Hive or Presto, EC2, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, and ideally DevOps and CI/CD like Jenkins
- 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Javascript/TypeScript, Angular/React.js, Node.js, or SQL
- Exposure working with big data technologies (e.g. Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Presto)
- Basic understanding of one or more scripting language (Unix Shell, Python, Perl, etc.)
- Experience working in an Agile environment using SCRUM practice.
