Systems Engineer - (Active TS/SCI)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Provide infrastructure and configuration support for client and server-based applications
2. Provide application, network, and application administration on Linux and Solaris servers
3. Provide IT support for day-to-day operations, infrastructure, and configuration management in support of DMDC
4. Provide 24 X 7 support on a rotational basis.
5. Work collaboratively in a team environment
6. At least four (4) years of relevant work experience in an engineering role with two (2) years of specialized, relevant technical work experience in the areas oftelecommunications, systems engineering, systems development, hardware and software developmentsand/or installation system engineering support.
7. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and solving problems in complexcommunications systems.
8. Ability to identify and analyze functional and operational requirements, and develop solutions to satisfy emerging needs

Qualifications

Government Eligibility Requirements:

Strong understanding and/or experience in GSM, UMTS, and LTE mobile core networkarchitectures and related hardware, software, and protocols Working experience with Telco infrastructure: NSS (i.e., MSC, HLR, AUC, VLR, EIR),BSS (BTS, BSC, Common Air Interfaces), OSS (i.e., Inventory Systems, CustomerCare/Billing Systems and gateways to transport information), SMSC, SGSN, GGSN andother ancillary components

 Knowledge of the theory and principles of telecommunications (i.e., SS7, telcosubsystems design/architecture/implementation/configuration) Experience with Wireshark and analyzing logs, stack traces, debug libraries,software/hardware Experience with scripting languages and programming; Python, Perl, Shell, VI, C, C Networking and security certifications
