Responsibilities

  • Manage the Federal purchasing process in accordance with FAR/DFAR regulations and CPSR requirements, ensuring that all requirements for an Approved Government Purchasing System are managed and maintained and support each step as required including acquisition planning, RFPs/RFQs to suppliers, source selection, price analysis, technical evaluations, purchase requisitions, subcontract agreement negotiations and finalization, purchase order management and closeouts
  • Manage federal, state, local government, and commercial contracts, including IDIQ contract management
  • Work with internal departments and subcontractors to ensure that all contractual deliverables are met and obligations are complied with, including FAR, DFAR, and other regulations related to federal acquisition
  • Draft, review, and revise a variety of contracts with customers including (but not limited to), subcontracts, consulting agreements, teaming agreements, and NDAs
  • Ensure the organization's internal contract documents and records are accurate and well maintained to CPSR requirements
  • Ensure contractual compliance, FAR and DFAR requirements and deliverables are accurately recorded and tracked to delivery
  • Provide support to Business Development in ensuring timely processing of non-disclosure, teaming, and other agreements with partners
  • Meet with customers to discuss both contractual, legal, and business matters
  • Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are understood and met
  • Create, prepare, review, and edit all contracts
  • Provide support, assistance, and advice on new potential businesses opportunities and throughout the procurement process
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes

Qualifications

  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be comfortable communicating with clients and suppliers in a professional and timely manner
  • Exemplify a strong attention to detail
  • Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with short and/or shifting deadlines
  • Comfortable working as part of a multidimensional team and supporting multiple departments within the organization in order to help achieve overall success
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology and the ability to draft and review contracts of all types including (but not limited to), subcontracts, consulting agreements, teaming agreements and NDAs
  • Solid grasp of FAR and DFAR requirements as it relates to federal prime contract and subcontract management
  • Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Previous experience working with contract regulations and the related laws
  • Capable of professionally managing confidential information
  • Exemplify creative problem-solving abilities
