Audio-Visual Technician to work remote and/or on-site in Silver Spring, MD. We are a technical, professional services company providing state-of-the-art solutions to government and commercial clients. Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on experience in the specific disciplines of multimedia audio visual support.
  • Audio Visual technician responsibilities are to set up teleconferences and/or audio-visual equipment for meetings and conferences for on or off-site conference facilities arranged by customers.
  • Operates equipment during meetings and disassembles equipment upon completion.
  • Operation of conference, meeting and training room AV/IT, sound systems and telephone technology.
  • Preparation and support for Webcast, Webmeeting, Webinar and video teleconferences.
  • Proficiency in use and maintenance of room scheduling system.
  • Experience should include but is not limited to technical troubleshooting of AV setup, Periodic re-imaging of training computers, Invoking warranties of computer equipment for repair or replacement, Arranging for the installation of new telephone and data ports, Activation of new and existing telephone and data ports, Assist meeting presenters with access to local accounts and to network accounts, Setting appropriate room lighting and climate control, Arranging for transcription services, Room setup and furniture configuration.
  • Install and configure wide range of AV equipment, build and wire AV equipment racks, train assistant techs, train clients on systems.
  • Execution of wire pulling, device rigging, cable termination and testing, system testing and commissioning, display and adjustment, system documentation, system trouble shooting, control system integration.
  • Maintain equipment service protocol to include regular manufacturers recommended maintenance of equipment, and follow a risk-based service plan that provides preventive maintenance or periodic replacement.
  • Perform service, installs and configures wide range of AV equipment, builds and wires AV equipment racks, Execution of wire pulling, device rigging, cable termination and testing, system testing and commissioning, display and adjustment, system documentation, system trouble shooting, control system integration.
  • Maintain knowledge of new and emerging AV industry products and functions.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of technical support experience in audio/visual technologies or more
  • Experience supporting telephony, video, network and/or other collaboration devices
  • Experience using ticketing system (prefer ServiceNow)
  • Experience providing customer service and end user support
  • Strong proven record learning new technologies and support
  • Strong written and oral communications required
  • Ability to work core hours of Monday-Friday
  • Ability to occasionally work overnight and weekend for planned international meetings that required support during off hours
  • Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. Permanent Residency or U.S. Citizenship is required.
