Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Network Administrator in Silver Spring, MD.
Job Responsibilities: - Responsible for identifying the cause of outages, but not necessarily required to provide the fix. Eventually, they are going to head in the direction of having them work on resolving issues and not simply identifying them, but this can be learned on the job - The Technicians will work 2 days independently and 3 days with others each week on things such as monitoring the network for any outages and responding to issues over the phone (very good customer service here). They will also be performing basic network troubleshooting and communications with the ISP (internet service provider) to verify up times and outages -They will need to know basic networking commands on Cisco networking equipment (check logs, read errors reported) -CCNA is HIGHLY desired but they are flexible for a rock star without it -Experience with any NOC tools is fine. They are using Solar Winds and Heat in the environment today Job Description - Must have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a NOC environment - Experience with a ticketing system (Remedy, RemedyForce, ServiceNow, Heat, etc.) - Basic network troubleshooting skills - Ability to work independently with great customer service skills/experienceVacancy expired!
