Responsibilities include assessing, planning, initiating, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating patient care activities of young, middle and older adult patient population for whom care is provided. The director is responsible to assure that the unit operates in a manner that meets organizational goals and objectives and meets standards set by regulatory and accrediting agencies.Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable):Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. MSN or Master’s Degree in Healthcare or related field preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a Compact State. Specialty certification required within six (6) months of hire.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:Minimum five (5) years related clinical experience required. Minimum of three (3) years management experience in comparable area of an acute care setting is required.Candidate must be capable of:
Assessing current unit activities/problems in a clinical setting, evaluating alternative approaches, implementing programs/practices, and evaluating outcomes.
Maintaining effective relationships with peers, other departmental staff and physicians.
Effectively managing human, material, capital, and financial resources
