We have an opening for an "Accounts Payable Specialist" in our accounting division located in Waldorf, Md. Job duties are as follows but will not be limited to:
Duties:
Review and verify invoices
Process payment requests
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
Purchase Orders
Delivery Ticket
Enter invoices into system for payment
1099 Maintenance
Prepare and perform check runs
Reconcile credit card statements
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain vendor files including reconciling the monthly vendor statements
Produce weekly reports
Filing, scanning and other projects as needed
Requirements:
Knowledge of accounts payable
Knowledge of the general ledger
Proficient in data entry and management
Proficient in Excel
Ability to work on task independently or with minimal supervision using problem solving skills
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Experience with Viewpoint Vista a plus
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Accounts Payable or AA degree in Accounting
