Medical receptionist and biller (Bethesda)

This position is for a medical receptionist who can also perform simple medical billing in a small medical office with just 1 physician working only during week days. The office does not bill insurance companies since the doctor does not participate with insurance companies. Therefore, all physician's fees are collected from the patients at the time of service. This person should have experience working in physicians' offices, have good computer skills such as being able to enter patient payments into medical billing software and be able to make appointments for patients utilizing appointment software. This person must also have exceptional interpersonal, language, and communications skills along with genuine empathy, as the patients are chronic pain patients who require very caring and understanding practitioners and support staff. The person also must have very good telephone communications skills in addition to having the patience and understanding to deal with sometimes challenging patients.
