Description:The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft Windows 10 and Mac OS desktop and notebook computers, printers, and peripherals. The Desktop Support Specialist will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all business and IT users and will perform job duties with minimal supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all enterprise departments to optimize working relationships and communication.
  • Identifies and initiates resolutions to client problems and concerns associated with PC deskside office equipment, hardware, and software to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Track hardware and software assets as received/assigned
  • Document and maintain procedures according to departmental standards
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • To resolve/assist the end user with moderate/complex computer workstation, laptop, and peripheral issues, accountable for resolution within service levels
  • This role is the face of IT and supports the internal users that support our customers and internal operational and enabling functions

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of technical work experience with a minimum ofyear’srs’ experience in an IT Systems Support production environment supporting Windows 10 and Mac OS X, PC builds, deployments, refresh and DT moves.
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration
  • Proven ability to resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware and Installation of new hardware for customers, such as new monitors, docking stations, or keyboards.
  • Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment
  • Experience supporting O365 / MS Office and a variety of WiFi-enabled devices
  • Experience supporting remote users
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and excellent customer service skills. Must possess excellent verbal communication skills. A successful candidate can communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization in a professional manner
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Basic inventory management and chain of custody. (HP products primarily used on site).
  • Candidates should possess the ability to schedule their own appointments with the customer via email, IM or phone or work in tandem with a dedicated scheduling staff/task assigner.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
