Systems Administrator to join their

Owings Mills, MD team (work is primarily remote, but you must be within driving distance to Owings Mills.) In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, optimizing, and upgrading essential servers and IT assets. This is a key role for multiple critical systems, so your willingness to respond to occasional emergency outages during non-standard work hours is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Systems Administrator and be the lead on the electronic document storage and management system
  • Perform as the team lead in charge of the enterprise storage area network.
  • Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Windows server OS, including Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 as well as MS SQL Server, including 2008 and 2012
  • Maintain, upgrade, and optimize remote access application delivery platforms
  • Assist with managing Active Directory and User Account Lifecycle
  • Responsible for maintaining Private Cloud Solution and Media Streaming and Sharing System
  • Identify, research, and propose new technologies, services, and/or products to enhance the functionality and/or cost-effectiveness of the network infrastructure
  • Provide support for critical systems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week when on-call on a rotational basis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of IT experience and 2 years of Windows Server systems administration experience in a large, complex organization
  • 2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory including:
    • Multi-Site Environment
    • Active Directory Security
    • Azure Active Directory
    • Creating, applying, and managing Group Policy Objects
    • Account provisioning which includes and is not limited to users, groups, and workstations
  • Proficient with the following:
    • Enterprise Security Best Practices
    • Enterprise Backup Technologies
    • User Account Single Sign-On Integrations
    • Multi-tiered Application Architectures and Deployments
    • RAID; Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies, including iSCSI and Fiber Channel, is a plus
    • Writing Technical Documentation and User Guides
  • 2+ years of experience with PowerShell Scripting
  • Familiarity with network switching and routing fundamentals
  • Experience with formal change management control
  • Ability to troubleshoot and understand desktop support at a CompTIA A+ level
  • Experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active industry certifications from major vendors such as Microsoft or Cisco
  • Experience with Microsoft O365, Microsoft Cloud App Security
  • Experience with multi-site, multi-data center architecture
