Who You AreAn Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in hardware design and has the ability to bring ideas to life. You have demonstrated that you can design and deliver in a fast paced product development environment. You are looking for a role where you can make an immediate and lasting impact on products and end users. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch customer experiences, always.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for implementing motor control platforms for brushless professional power tool products that satisfy end user needs in the Global Tools and Storage business unit.
  • Learn product development milestones in a world-class product management system from concept through design, mass manufacturing, and full product cycle life support.
  • Design of new products and platforms, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
  • Effectively identify and communicate major technical and schedule issues to team leaders in a clear, concise, and timely manner while driving appropriate actions.
You're also an innovator, a tinkerer, a DIYer, a maker, a creator You enjoy breaking things down and rebuilding. You understand high-volume production and fault-tolerant design within a fast-paced global manufacturing environment. You also have:
  • A willingness to relocate within driving distance to one of our Engineering hubs in Towson, Maryland, or Huntersville, North Carolina, (if not already living here)
    • The frequency you will be in the office will vary from team to team and where the product is in its development lifecycle.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from an accredited engineering college
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Analog hardware design, troubleshooting, DFMEA, and hands on failure analysis.
  • Power electronics and heat dissipation methods.
  • Brushless motor controls and embedded systems.
  • Circuit simulation with LTSpice or similar.
  • Boardlevelbring up and troubleshooting hands on experience: oscilloscope, voltage and current probes, DMM, thermal camera, and equivalent equipment.
  • PCB design using Altium or similar a plus.
  • Lithium ion battery management a plus.
  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing and design for high volume production and fault tolerant design practices a plus.
