You'll get to:- Use CAE simulation technologies to support the development of Power Tools and Outdoor products.
- Translate product design requirements into simulation project specifications and use appropriate simulation technique to ensure quality and performance.
- Conduct structural analysis using FEA tools in areas of non-linear static, transient dynamic, noise and vibration, material damage, fatigue life prediction, fluid structure interaction, design optimization, co-simulation and multi-physics simulation.
- Verify simulation results with theoretical method and test data
- Analyze simulation results to reach sound design/business decisions in complex technical situations
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve optimal product development solutions
- Study the fundamental physics behind the products using CAE and other analytical tools
- Develop advanced method/process to enhance simulation capability and efficiency
- Deliver multiple projects with an increasing degree of technical complexity
- Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate efficiently with cross functional teams
- MS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in modeling of mechanical systems using CAE tools or programming languages.
- Experience in advanced transient dynamic simulation, advanced material modeling for metal, plastics, rubber, concrete, wood etc., material damage and removal modeling, fatigue life prediction, and noise and vibration prediction.
- Experience in modeling multi-physics scenario, fluid structure interaction, co-simulation, and structure wear phenomena a plus.
- Good knowledge in FEA theory, material failure criteria and effects of strain rate, solid mechanics, and fracture mechanics. Understanding of manufacturing process such as plastic injection molding and metal die casting. Knowledge of product design optimization.
- Programming and scripting skills for Windows and/or Linux platform in using languages such as python, MATLAB, Tcl, Bash etc. a plus.
- Ability to investigate state of art simulation technologies and apply them to solve challenging practical problems.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to generate and evaluate creative ideas.
- Able to handle multiple projects, strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
