You'll get to:- Establish and manage program specifications, schedule, and risks
- Ensure team is adhering to software processes and development plan
- Translate customer requirements into software specifications
- Manage and maintain documents required in the development process
- Communicate key development updates, issues, and timeline on software projects to external teams and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, reliability and manufacturing teams relaying information to software development team as needed
- Ability to effectively lead meetings, set agenda, document minutes, and monitor/track key deliverables, attended by multiple stakeholders
- Ability to assess risk and develop an execution plan
- Participate in peer design and code review
- Provide leadership in achieving cost, performance and quality objectives of all related electronic systems, components and sub-assemblies
- BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent (4 years) from accredited computer/electrical engineering college
- 3+ years direct professional work experience in the following areas:
- Functional project management in design and manufacturing of consumer products.
- Technical experience using best practices in the design and manufacturing of consumer products, power electronics/BLDC motor controls.
- Experience with embedded software, motor control, or microcontrollers preferred
- Experience bringing embedded software products from development to production
- Experience with design and manufacturing high volume products is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate and successfully deliver multiple concurrent global projects.
- Ability to understand engineering designs and manufacturing processes.
- Possess an analytical and detail oriented mindset.
- Possess well-developed interpersonal, communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must work well in a collaborative team environment.
