You like getting your hands dirty and want to be the onedisassembling a problem to find out what is broken and how to fix it.You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch customer experiences, always. You want to work on a project where you can see the fruits of your labor come to life and enjoy getting to see the finished product on the shelves of major retailers around theglobe. Youalso have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with3-5 years of experience.
  • Computerliterate;MS Word, Power Point, Excel, 2D/3D CAD(CATIA V5 preferred), FEA
  • Demonstratedability to dissect a problem to find the root cause, design a solution and create a test method to prove out the issue really is fixed.
  • Enjoy getting your hands dirtyand being involved in building, testing and du-bugging tools throughout the development cycle.
  • Design, DFM,root cause analysis, test instrumentation and data acquisition and analysis
  • Ability and interest in learning about new technologies and processes
  • Quality - use ofor familiarity withstatistical tools, process capability,DOE's, stack-ups
  • Ability for possible international travel to visit manufacturing locations (post-COVID)and periodic travel to Towson MD for prototype builds/testing at main headquarters.
What You'll Do
  • Successfullycarry outthe design processtoachieve all quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Perform hands-on concept development, proto-typing, product testing, data collection and definition of product specifications.
  • Assist lead engineerstocarryout advanced stack-ups and system analysis to ensure product assembly and functionality remain consistent throughout its lifetime.
  • Investigate design issues & test failures, and effectively identify, recommend and implement corrective actions to components.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Reliability,Field Research)to identify and clearly define customer requirements, and translate those requirements into appropriate product specificationsand develop test systems to ensure we meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Workinacore team of 3-4 engineers/designers todevelop aproductfrom start tofinish
  • Supportthe builds of engineering, manufacturing and pilot lots to ensure that the products are assembledand testedin the correct way to ensure long term productquality
  • Work closely with core GTS motor development team in Towson MD to ensure product designs & requirements align with platform strategies and developments
  • Implementsdesign and processcontrols, conducts root-cause analysis, and applystatistical and Lean Six-Sigma techniques to maintain and improve product qualityas problems arise thru the product development cycle
