The Guidehouse Team supports the management of the government's acquisition strategy including proposals, finances, end user requirements, and independent government cost estimates. There are many challenges that the client faces in dealing with competing priorities of various divisions and the limits of funding for the government. Further, Guidehouse supports the government with the challenge of keeping contracts on schedule and in compliance. Below are a list of some of the specific requirements required by the government customer.

Our Financial Management and Budget analysts help federal clients execute their missions and optimize the operations of their finance organization, including supporting the areas of budget formulation and execution. We understand the central functionality of the budget role within the office and the crucial need for data accuracy and insights during input transactions and output reconciliations. The Guidehouse team remains cognizant of the dual focus of the budget team to handle responsibilities of the budget requirements for the office as well as the mission critical management of budget execution to support senior decision-makers including:
  • Support the development procedures of the Acquisition Officer to prepare materials for presentation to senior acquisition managers or external Federal entities
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis of budget data for timely response to internal and external inquiries using tools such as Tableau and Cognos
  • Develop and maintain budget execution modules with current data for analysis against baseline amounts
  • Monitor budget cross-cuts baseline amounts and track progress with concurrence of support documents to transactions posted
  • In addition, our teams are responsible for identifying, designing and implementing improved processes that transform their budget function and provide lasting change by empowering the federal workforce to sustain improved operations
Qualifications

The following qualifications are REQUIRED to be considered for this role:
  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TS/SCI clearance with a FULL SCOPE (or Lifestyle) polygraph
  • Minimum years of experience: Five (5) years
  • Degree(s) Preferred: Bachelor's degree
The following skills/knowledge/experience is preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • Certification(s) Preferred: CPA, CGFM, CDFM, PMP
  • Financial Reporting
  • Financial business process reengineering
  • Budget Execution
  • Flexibility is a must, as well as the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple work streams, multi-task and work to support tight deadlines and execute the client's budget
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building partnerships with business and executive stakeholders as applicable
  • Demonstrated ability to use government financial and budget systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office software including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Creating innovative world class business intelligence solutions to meet client requirements
  • Incorporate clients and product owners feedback and experience into financial and business processes to foster continuous improvement
  • Work with technical teams to design and implement business processes to optimize performance
  • Support the development of project plans, review and communicate project progress, challenges and time lines
