Description of Work:- The Platform as a Service (PaaS) Administrator is responsible for delivering, managing and supporting the On-Premise Red Hat Cloud platform solutions. The selected resource will be collaborating with cross-functional teams in deploying and supporting cloud services for internal stakeholders and application owners. Tasks for this position include:
- Provide hands-on PaaS environments support that includes software installation, configuration, upgrades, security patches and planned maintenance.
- Conduct complex analysis including planning, designing, and technology tools and applications.
- Monitor, analyze, research and resolve complex problems in relation operations issues of the cloud environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems utilizing established escalation and change control processes.
- Develop automation solutions using Ansible and Tower for infrastructure and applications provisioning and management.
- Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures as needed.
- 7 years of experience in Cloud Technologies and Computing Environments
- 7 years of experience hands-on experience with modern open source and PaaS tools
- 7 years of experience using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x/8.x operating system
- 5 years of experience using Red Hat OpenShift 3.x or higher
- 5 years of experience developing and maintaining Red Hat Ansible Playbooks and Ansible Tower
- 5 years of experience with infrastructure automation using Python, Ansible and PowerShell
- 5 years of experience delivering solutions and administering systems in a cloud environment using PaaS
- 3 years of experience with Docker, GitHub, and Jenkins
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in a highly collaborative on-site environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
- Ability to present ideas and solutions in business and user-friendly language
- Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment
- Adept at working independently, but also in a team environment
- Prior Federal government experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline driven enterprise environment
- Excellent understanding of change management, testing requirements, techniques, and tools to ensure high availability of systems
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities
- Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products
- Experience in developing technology roadmaps and strategies
