Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group is seeking a Least Test Engineer/Analyst to join our Partner's team and work closely with the development and architecture leads to understand the functionality of the software as well as potential vulnerabilities. This role provides the opportunity to impact the company's growth as you will be involved in occasional training, technical writing, and software testing/development as well as joining their expansion into the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Responsibilities:

  • Defining test plans for each service as well as the scope of tests for a test team
  • Lead the testing of new software releases to validate bug fixes and new features
  • Write and run automates test for Spring Boot microservices

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • 2+ years of experience testing/debugging REST APIs implemented using Java and Spring Boot
  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing automated unit, integration and behavioral tests via TDD
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging testing libraries and frameworks such as Junit, Spring Test, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium or any other equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience with integrating automated test into a DevOps pipeline using Jenkins and Maven as part of the SDLC
  • Strong understanding of how to isolate a SUT using mocks, stubs and shims for applications that leverage loC
  • Experience using Spring framework to develop/implement automated test profiles across multiple environments
  • Experience analyzing logs using tools like Splunk, Nagios or any equivalent
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence to manager requirements, user stories, defects/bugs and testing artifacts
  • Basic knowledge of SSL/TLS, x.509 certificates and related web standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
