ALTA IT is supporting a direct role for a DevOps EngineerThe AWS DevOps Engineer will play an essential part in growing and evolving the company. Thisposition will work with the Infrastructure and Engineering teams, and will not only beresponsible for helping to build on the current infrastructure, but will also help Client thefoundation for creating processes that will help speed up product testing and deployment goingforward.The DevOps Engineer has a critical role in integrating the project functions and resources acrossthe product life cycle, from planning, building, testing, and deployment to support.The DevOps Engineer is expected to be familiar with all the technical aspects of integratedoperations. They are expected to be knowledgeable of the various automation tools which maybe required for process automation and testing.
Responsibilities:Maintain and administer the existing AWS environmentProvide expertise on best practices for creating and maintaining multi-environmentAWS infrastructureImprove understanding of AWS service and product offerings, capabilities and pros/consLead efforts in implementing and maintaining consolidated System Monitoring solutionsSupport initiatives for security and complianceStrive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuousdevelopment, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)Design and implement development, test, release, update, and support processes forDevOps operationEncourage and implement automated processes wherever possibleProvide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, Clientand time necessaryPartner with QA to test application resiliency and gauge readiness for software releasesIncidence management and root cause analysisDesign and implement monitoring and reportingWork with multiple departments during the release processWork with project management to assist the team in breaking larger projects intosmaller tasks with good estimates Requirements:2 or more years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, specifically using AWSExperience working in a secure environmentBachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical disciplineSolid understanding of automation and implementing automation processesWorking knowledge of implementing and maintaining Windows Server/IIS/.NETtechnologiesAbility to troubleshoot distributed systems to diagnose the root cause and help with asolution for the underlying issue.Experience deploying C# .NET code to AWSWorking knowledge of traditional client/server architectureAbility to work independently with little assistanceAbility to be collaborative and work with teammates to implement comprehensivetooling to create and maintain dev/product/local environments.Experience with relational database technologies - SQL Server or MySQLFamiliarity with programming languages such as React and C#Vacancy expired!
