Job Description

The Manager of Clinical Affairs, DSO, North America plays a pivotal role in providing clinical expertise to assist with necessary training materials and educational initiatives throughout Straumann Group USA’s Dental Service Organization (“DSO”) partners. Specifically, The Manager of Clinical Affairs, DSO, North America reports to the Head of Clinical Affairs and training and education, DSO, North America

Job ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Liaising and working with territory managers by providing clinical expertise on the operation of the Straumann Group product lines.
  • Developing training materials to support the continued clinical use of Neodent, Straumann, Medentika, ClearCorrect and other products and services from the Straumann Group USA portfolio within the DSO networks.
  • Managing and conducting training of new and existing clinicians in DSO networks.
  • Managing education initiatives and activities related to Straumann Group products and services within DSO networks.
  • Working with the Head of Clinical Affairs and T&E to create and manage education offerings for DSO clients, marketing, sales, and other key functional areas of the company.
  • Working with the Head of Clinical Affairs and T&E and the new product development team on the analysis and development of new product needs.
  • Meeting with Clinical Advisory Board members to communicate product and solution developments as well as a continuous update on the education programs being offered to their companies.
  • Presenting to and educating clinicians and staff, sales representatives and all levels of corporate client personnel, including CABs and C-suite professionals.
  • Supports, conducts, and manages the content of internal training initiatives.

Qualifications

DDS, DMD or equivalent degree. At least 3 years of experience in clinical practice as a dentist. At least 1 year of experience in clinical research and product development. Experience with biocompatibility evaluation, clinical evaluation, Post-market clinical Follow-up, and clinical investigation. Experience with clinical studies (in teeth aligners and dental implants) and scientific writing. At least 1 year of experience in supporting training and education initiatives. Experience in supporting training and education with at least 2 product lines from the Straumann Group is preferred. Fluent in English. Availability to travel 75% of the time.
